Su Liupeng, style name Zhenqin, was a figure painter from a family of professional artists from Shunde in Guangdong province. His father and three of his sons and grandsons were also noted painters. He mostly did paintings for the rich merchants in Kanton (Guangzhou) showing narrative scenes from history or daily life. His style is said to have derived from Tang Yin (1470-1523) and Huang Shen (1687-1768)
